RAILWAYS WANTED.

DUNKDIX, this day,
A public meeting held at Owaka on Saturday night of those interested in extension of the Catlin's Eiver railway was attended by, 150 farmers, settlers, and saw-millers." It was resolved that the meeting urge the necessity of at once proceeding with the Catlin's River railway, and that the Government be urged to bring down a borrowing policy as the only practical means of securing the early completion of this and other railways necessary to the proper development of the resources of t!he colony. It was further resolved that in the interests of the district the traffic manager be asked to run a train daily.
