■ ! * A -well attended meeting .of the New. Zealand Cyclists'"Alliance was held at the rooms of the Amateur Sports Chib last" evening, Mr C. E. MacCormiek in tha chair. The,secretary stated that the executive had granted permission for Messrs- j;' Cucksey aria Brook, ■ the AucMand representatives, to compete against League amateurs In,the cycle races to be held under the auspices of the Alliance at the Canterbury Amateur Athletic Club's autumn, meeting, provided that competition in. the races would not Interfere ■with their amateur status under Alliance or New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association rules, and that a permit had been granted ".'■'. the Southern authorities for the holding . of the same. The action of the executive was confirmed. A. letter was read' from the Cambridge Oddfellows' sports promoters asking permission to place cycling' events, under Alliance .rules, on, their ; sports programme of April 21.
