The presentation made to the Minister for Lands in the Premier's room by Mr McKenzie's colleagues consisted of a gold sovereign case and a gold match-box, both suitably inscribed, together with several conveniences for the passage. The presentation was made by Mr Seddoh, with a few appropriate remarks, to which the recipient replied in suitable terms. The function was private. 'Bon Voyage' was wished the departing Minister in bumpers of champagne. •

The amount presented to the Minister of Lands is nearly £1100, and a few lists and signatures are yet. to come in. . ;
