WHAREKAWA.

A ball, given by the employees of the Whangamata Gold Corporation, was held here on February 25th, when over forty couples assembled and spent a most enjoyable night. Songs were rendered by Mesdames Seaver and Watson and Miss Bracy, accompanied by Mrs Hay Chapman, Messrs M. Livar, William, Billington, Parkins, and Hay Chapman also sang. The catering of Mrs Law was done in her first-class style. Excellent music was supplied by Mr Sainsbury, jun., and Mr N. Moyle proved himself efficient in the capacity of M.C.
