VOLCANIC ACTIVITY.
TAUPO, this day.
The eruption of Ngaruhoe was witnessed by the passengers from Wang<miii at Karioi after the arrival of the coach from Pipiriki on Sunday. During the journey next day they saw a quantity or red ash from Ngaruhoe on the slopes of the mountains. A large number of passengers arrived by the Wanganui r6ute yesterday, necessitating the employing of two exlra coaches.
