Officials clocked Bobadil's run over the lasi six furlongs of the St. Leger as 1.163, and the last half-mile in 50-?>secs.
The -"Argus' quotes Oarevie's startingl price for the .Brunswick Staked at 20 to 1. The '.\gv' makes the price 30 to l.
Forest was purchased by Mr Uphill at Ranihviek amongst a mob of yearlings for '621 guinea* Subsequently he was leased to Mr Septimus Miller, ■who raced him unsuccessfully as a two-year-old.
There was some good work at Flemington this morningl. Crimson covered" 11 furlongs in S.::!-?, Wait-a-bit eeiipr.ed this by three-quarters of a second, finishing- in front of Treraarden, who accompanied him over the hist half mile, traversed in 53 : } seconds. Mr A. Taylor is confident that Wait-a-bit will win the Australian Cup, also that Tremarden will reverse positions with Revenue in the Ascot Vale Stakes. Revenue was beaten by a length over four furlong's, run in fifty-two seconds. Symmetry and Delusive spurted five furlongs in 1.6. Bobsdil easily bent Regained over six furlongs run in 1.19.
Experienced Flemington experts are again doubtful with regard to Bobadil's thorough gameness if a strong pace is set throughout a race.
