THE PAPANUI.

The new steamer Papanui arrived from London last night, anchoring- in the stream. She berthed beside the Queenstreet Wharf this morning to discharge cargo, and will leave for Wellington on Friday next. The vessel comes into port In excellent order, after her long voyage, and the chiel' officer, Mr Turner, is to be complimented on the splondid condition in which ho, as the executive officer, has kept her. The engine-room has also been kept in a perfect state of order. Mr Aitken, the chief engineer, considers this the finest and roomiest engine-room he has ever been in.
