THE WESTRALIA.

The s.s. Westralia arrived from the South at 9.30 a.m. yesterday. Mr SampBon, the purser, reports that she left Duriedin on the 28th February, called at Lyttelton on the Ist, where a large general cargo was taken in, the greater portion being for Auckland. Leaving Lyttelton on same night, "Wellington was touched at on the 2nd, Napier 3rd, Gisborne 4th,

1 and the wharf reached as above. The i Westralia had on board a large number of ; passenger*, including the members of tin; j 'Sign of the Cross" Company. Taking adI vantage of the tine weather last evening j a concert was held in the dining saloon I of the Westralia, and, the members of the i Company assisting, a very successful and i enjoyable evening was spent. A collecI tion in aid of the National Shipwreck i Relief Society was taken up. and the sum !of £'i 10/ was raised, which was handed over by the Company's treasurer I to the purser, who will hand it over to the i secretary of the above institution.

The YV"e»tralia leaves for Sydney at 5.30 o'clock this evening, taking- the following passengers:—Misses Green. Brickwell, Leonard, F. Downey, Parkes, Rees, Evans, Broughton, Dove, Potter, G. Keene, Crockford, Woodhead, iiesdames Colebrook, Sutherland, Greene, Jephson, Freame. Hall and 2 children, Collins, Dixon, Harmston, Love, T. Major, Crockford, Broughton, Messrs Sutherland, J. Woodhead,' Webster, Spiers, E. T. Henderson, P. Hurley. T. G. McKinney, L. Hoist, J. A. Boyd. A. Lockhead, Fisker, Parkes, F. H. Ralph, W. Schantz, J. Aitken, Livealy, A S Youves. Holsteln, Lang. H. N. Bell, \ J. Carr, Hall, Dudley, Dixon, R. AIU. Crockford, Collins, Colebrook, W. R, Cureton, and 30 steerage.
