WELLINGTON, this day. The weather is tine, with a cold south-east wind blowing, and rain js still- threatening. Since Sunday 7.78 j inches of rain fell. TIMARU, this day. H»avy rain last, night was followed by a good drying- wind, to-day the weather. j s very cold, and the ranges are 'capped with snow. CIIPdSTCHimCH, this day. Heavy soith-west wind and rain set 'in last evening- and continued all j night. Strong, cold wind prevails toi day, with occasional showers. A i large amount oi crop is still out, but, with a low temperature, little damage is feared. WESTPOET, this day. A cold, wintry siui]i lias set in, and a good deal of rain is fulling.
