DEVONPORT ELECTRIC TRAMWAYS.

Mr W. J. Napier has received letters from Mr Paul Hansen, who is now in Loudon arranging for the underwriting- of the capital to construct the electric tramways in Devon/port and to Lake, Takapuna. The capital for this work is £55,000. Mr Hansen says the arrangements are proceeding satisfactorily, but it is probable that the tramway scheme will be part only of a. much larger enterprise whicli is being- promoted by Messrs Hansen and Napier, and which involves a capital of £400,000. Details of the proposals will probably be made public in the course of six or seven weeks.
