CRTSTCHURCH, this day

At the S.M. Court to-day Thomas Palethorpe, formerly manager of the Burnham Industrial School, was charged with perjury in having- given five sepai-ate certificates,.all of. them alleged to be false, purporting- to be for goods supplied which were not so supplied. He was committed for trial. Four other informations charging- accused with obtaining by means of false pretences articles referred to a 'extras' were abandoned.
