Parnell made 10S, and succeeded'in dismissing Gordon for 91, winning by 17 runs. The scoring was'poor, the first five only contributing 13 runs. Alexander 30, Lusk 23 not out, and Edwards and Dr. Pabst 10, were the only double figure scorers. I. Mills took 7 wickets for 3S, and Brennan 3 for 14. The Valley team was scarcely representative, but provided a pleasant game, Papakura batted first, and made 67, the chief scorers being Mclnnes 21, C. Middleton 13. Bowling for Y.M.CA., Wheatley took 4 wickets for 14 runs, Hemevy 2 for 2, Walton 2 for 6, Cowan 2 for 10, Ward 1 for 7. Y.M.C.Ai's innings produced 147, Hemery making 18, Walton 25, Rowe 20, Ward 13, and Steele 40; thus winning by SO runs. For Papakura Mclnnes took 3 for 34,White 2 for 4, C. Middleton 2 for 39. Northcote.y. Mennie and Dey (at Northcote). —Scores: Mennie and Dey, 84; Northcote, 43. The visitors thus won by 41 runs. Batting for M. and D., Horspool 31, Manning 15, H. R. Jones 13, and Fisher-11* reached double figures. For NorthcoLe, Brooking played a dashing innings for 26. BoAvling for Northcote, Arblaster, 7 for 2S, was the most successsful. W. Tonar secured 1 AAicket for 13, and Brooking 1 for 14. Excelsior v. Giles' College.—Excelsior, first innings, 98; second innings, 9 for 0 wickets. Giles', first innings, 31; second innings, 71 (Oliff 24). This match thus resulted in a win for Excelsior by 10 wickets and sruns. Bruce and White bowled well .for Excelsior.
