NATHAN to sell at Sylvia Park on Friday, December 30th, at 3 o'clock, rjpHE FOLLOWING THOROUGHBRED YEARLINGS:— Lot 1.-CHESTNUT YEARLING FILLY, by St. Leger (imp.) out of Charente, by Nordenfeldt from La Dauphine by The Dauphin from Brassolis, by Panic from Josephine, by Boiardo. This is a well-grown filly. Lot 2.-CHESTNUT YEARLING COLT, by St. Hippo out of Maratea, by Nordenfeldt from Fishgirl, by Yattendon from Fanny Fisher, by Fisherman from Coquette. Fishgirl is half-sister to Swordfish. This colt is very stoutly bred, St. Leger, Robinson Crusoe, Musket, Yattendon, and Fisherman running through his pedigree. Lot 3.—CHESTNUT YEARLING FILLY, by St. Leger out of Bellona, by Nelson from Muskerina.by Musket from Hippona, by Hippocampus from Yatterina, by Yattendon. Bellona is full brother to Man-of-War, a winner of several races on the West Coast of New Zealand. This filly is well grown, and on breeding lines is difficult to beat. Lot 4.—BAY YEARLING FILLY, by St. Hippo but of Waitemata, by Eiridspord from Aorere, by Chester from Kaipara.by Goldsborough from Maritana.by New Warrior from Menuaro, by Fisherman. Eiri»lsdale, a full brother to Waitemata, a winner in Victoria. This is a well grown filly, and should command the attention of breeders. Lot S.—BROWN YEARLING COLT, by St. Leger out of Sunbeam, by Ingomar from Amohia, by Towton out of ' Anticipation, by Ravensworth out of Coronaria. Amohia is dam- of Tigredia, a Derby winner. Tigredia is dam of Tigress, the Wanganui Guineas winner. Sunbeam was herself a good performer. This colt is very nicely bred, and should gallop fast, as all the family are racers. •Lot 6.-BROWN YEARLING FILLY, by St. Hippo out of Innisfail, by Nordenfeldt out of Innisthona, by Leonidas from Moilena, by Patriarch from Rosabella, by Panic. Fabulist is half-brother to Innisfail. St. Innis, the half-sister to the above yearling, is a winner of races. This filly is well grown, and is sure to come to hand early. Lot 7.—BAY YEARLING FILLY by St. Hippo out of Ellerslie, by Trenton out of a daughter of First KingLady Grenville, by Chandos from Lady Chester (imp.), by Stockwell. The breeding of this filly cannot be surpassed. Trenton mares are eagerly sought after. This filly is well grown, and shows • good paddock form. Lot B.—BAY YEARLING COLT, by Seaton Delaval put of Leocante; by Leolinus out of Cantiniere, by Musket from Queen Bess, by Nutwith out of the daughter of Riddlesworth. Woodstock, the half-brother to Leocante, won the March Handicap at Hawke's Bay, and the Napier Cup and City Stakes at Napier Park. All this family are gallopers. Seaton Delaval is the sire of Miss Delaval, Hastings, Rosella, all good gallopers. This is a very fine upstanding colt, and is very difficult to fault. Lot 9.—BROWN YEARLING FILLY, by St. Hippo out of Stepfeldt, by Nordenfeldt out of Steppe, by Saunterer from Seclusion, by Tadmor out of Miss Lellon, by Cowl. Steppe is half sister to Hermit, winner of Derby. Stepfeldt herself won the Auckland Derby. Stepniak.full brother to Stepfeldt, won the Canterbury Derby. She, full sister to Stepfeldt, is the dam" of Bobadil. The breeding of this filly cannot be surpassed in any part of the world. This yearling is brimful of quality and should come to hand early. Lot 10.-CHESTNUT YEARLING COLT by Seaton Delaval from Sybil, by Leolinus from Atlantis (imp.), by Thormanby out of Hurricane, by Wild Dayrell out of Media, by Scutari out of Marinella, by Soothsayer out of Bess. Sybil is full sister to Fabulist and Leolantis, and half sister to Happy Land,the dam of Hova, Fabulous is sire of Fabulist, winner of Auckland Guineas and Derby. This yearling colt is well grown, and shows a lot of quality. As all the Seaton Delavals have shown that they can gallop, there is every reason to believe that this yearling will follow suit. He is very fast in the paddock. Lot 11.—BROWN YEARLING FILLY, by St. Hippo out of Liquidation.by King Cole out of Aealisation, by Vespasian out of Hopeful Duchess, by the Flying Dutchman. Liquidation performed well. Wapiti, her full brother, held the record for N.Z. for 1? miles for some years. Maxim, hall brother to Liquidation, was one of the best performers in Australasia. Hastings, half brother to the yearling under offer, has proved that he can gallop fast.- This yearling fills is bred on very stout lines, and, be ing well grown, should command the attention of buyers.
