Lot I—CHESTNUT FILLY, by Hotchkiss, dam St. Mary, by imported St. Leger from Weasel, by Anteros (imp). This filly is descended from the great Musket and St. Leger or Stockwell strains. Lot 2—BROWN FILLY, by Cuirassier, full brother to Trenton, dam Yattaghan, by Nordenfeldt out of Yattacy, by Yattendon. This filly is very well grown, and has the double cross of Musket and Stockwell. No. 3—BROWN COLT by Castor (imp.), dam Sunrise, by Ramarama from Awatea, by imported Ravensworth from imported Skybird, by TedQington. Awatea is the dam of Grip, winner of the Canterbury Cup and C.J.C. Handicap. L, o t 4—BAY COLT, by St. Leger (Imp.), dam Ladybird, by Carbineer, by Musket from Winnie, the dam of St. Simon and Record Reign, both great winners. Ladybird was a winner of many races. This colt Is nicely proportioned, and should keep up the family record. Lot f.-BAY FILLY, by Cuirassier, own brother to Trenton, dam Valentia, by imported Leolinus from Lyre, by PatiJarch, son of Yattendon, from im ported Lyra, by Thormanby. This ia an immense filly, and Musket on Yat-tr-ndon and Stockwell blood should be winning blood. Lot 6.—CHESTNUT FILLY, by St. Leger (imp) out of Lady Evelyn, dam of St. Evelyn and Hermosa. This filly is as perfect as she can be in conformation; a size larger than her celebrated sister, and an undoubted good one. Lot 7.—CHESTNUT COLT by St. Leger (imp) out of Lady Emily, by Castor out of Lady Wellington, by Musket out of Cartridge and Derring-er's dam. This is a bis, strong colt, with excellent feet and bone. Lot S.—CHESTNUT FILLY by Hotchkiss out of Weasel, by imported Anteros out of Zealandia, out of Toi Toi. by St. Aubyn, from the celebrated Waimea. Lot 9.—BROWN COLT by St. Leger (imp) dam Bianca, by Black Eagle from Bessie, by Angler from Scraps, by Lord of the Hills out of Ragpicker (sister to Sylvia), by Fisherman. Bianca's daughters Lady Whitford, The Shrew, and Waiorongomai have all won, and are first-class performers. Lot 10.—BAY FILLY by St. Leger (imp) dam Bangle, by Musket from Locket (imp), clam of Necklace, Thunderbolt, Necklet, and Medallion. Bangle has produced Casket and Orion's Belt, who both proved themselves winners: the former won the Punedin Cup and finished second in the C.J.C. Derby and sreoncV in the Canterbury Cup. This filly is well grown and has a great constitution. Lot 11.—BAY COLT by Cuirassier dam Ganza, by Castor from Gannet, by Anteros from Albatross. This is the first cross of Musket and Castor. This colt shows every indication of being fast. Lot 12.—CHESTNUT FILLY by Hotchkiss dam Rose of Wellington, by St. Leger (imp) from Fleurette, by Robinson Crusoe from Rose of Denmark, by Stockwell. This filly is beautifully bred, and is own sister to those brilliant colts True Blue and Screwgun (winner of Juvenile Stakes, beating a large field of two and three-year-olds). Lot 14.—BROWN COLT by Hotchkiss clam Queen Cole, by King Cole out of Rosalie, by Patriarch. This colt's dam is half-sister to Derringer, and the colt above mentioned is own brother to Battleaxe, the quadruple winner at Waitara and Waverley. Lot 15.—BAY FILLY by Castor dam Vivandiere, by Musket, and dam of Son-of-a-Gun, Gallant, The Dancer, Three Star, Heavenly Twin, Tauhel, and Dayntree, all winners. Lot 16.—BAY COLT by St. Leger dam Hilda, by Musket out of Ouida, by Yattendon, and dam of Antares (winner of the Takapuna , Cup, Sylvia Handicap, Victoria Handicap, Auckland Cup, Jockey Club Stakes, and numerous races over hurdles and on the fiat. Fulmen, another of Hilda's sons, won the • Kensington Stakes (Dunedin), and finished second in the New Zealand Cup to Tirant d'Eau, in record time. This is abeautiful colt and well grown. Lot 17.—BAY FILLY by St. Leger dam Brown Alice, by Nordenfeldt from Ouida, by Yattendon, and dam of Hilda, Balista, Strathmore, Artillery, all winners. This filly is compact, has good legs and feet, and should race early. Lot IS.—BAY COLT by St. Leger, dam that sterling mare Eve, by Brigadier out of The Jilt, by Traducer out of imported Fleurage, by Monarch. This is Eve's first foal, and he is promising and good looking. Lot 19—CHESTNUT COLT by St. 'Leger dam Forme, by Nordenfeldt from Formo, by Sterlingworth out of imported Pulchra, by Rosicrucian out of the great English Formoso. Forme, the dam of this colt, was a great performer at all weights and distances. He is well grown, beautifully turned quarters, with sound, good legs and feet. Will not only race early, but will make a good three-year-old. Also, his "rand-dam Formo is the dam of Uniform, Forma and Multiform, all smashers. Lot 20 —BAY FILLY, by St. Leger (imp.), dam Sapphire.by The Drummer (.imp.) out of Amethyst, by Ambrose from Heroine of Lucknow, by Nutwith from Pocahontus. This is a lovely filly,with perfect action. Her dam has produced Bluefire, Mannlicher, and St. Conon, all winners. Lot 21.—BAY COLT, by St. Leger, dam Ouida, by Yattendon,and dam of those good performers. Artillery, Hilda, Balista Strathmore, Hazel, and Brown Alice. This is one of the most perfect made yearlings ever bred at Wellington Park. He resembles his celebrated half-brother Strathmore, only more robust. Lot 22 -CHESTNUT FILLY.by St. Leger, dam Hazel, by Nordenfeldt, from Ouida, by Yatte ndon. This youngster is" an immense yearling, showing bone and substance, with good sound limbs. With her breeding, the combinations of Musket, Yattendon. and Stockwell, through St. Leger, should not only go fast but stay. Lot 23.—BROWN FILLY, by Hotchkiss, dam Formo, by Sterlingworth, from Pulchra, by Rosicrueian from the great English Formosa, by Buccaneer. This is an own sister to three celebrities. Forma, Uniform, and Multiform, and half-sister to Forme, all in the front rank of racehorses. Lot 24.—BAY FILLY, by Castor, dam Cissy, by Musket from Frailty, by Goldsborough. This is an own sister to Daystair and Altair, both firstclass colts.
