ALLEGED INFANTICIDE.

THAMES, this day.

At the Police Court to-day Elizabeth Cooke was charged with the murder of her infant child at Matatoke on August 27th. Sergeant Gillies conducted the prosecution and Mr Miller appeared for accused, who is twenty-one years of age. The evidence of the mother was taken. The case is proceeding.
