The 21st annual meeting of the Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club will be held this evening at the Metropolitan Hotel. The report of the Committee to be presented congratulates the members on having completed another successful season. The statement of accounts and balancesheet show the club to be in a sound position, although the expenses of last season were very heavy, and the prize money greatly increased. Last November most of the club's plant was lost in the fire which destroyed the Domain Pavilion, but fortunatelythe plant was insured. The City Council had accepted tenders for a new pavilion, and it would be a handsome and convenient building. The Spring Carnival will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19 next, and the Committee had invited Messrs M. M. Roseingrave, of j Sydney, and A. H. Holder, of Wanganui, to compete. The thanks of the club were clue to their delgates on the N.Z. Cyclists' Alliance and to Messrs W. Tonks, G. B. Hitchie, and J. Wood, the club's delegates on the N.Z.A.A.A. It was proposed to place a further sum of £50 towards the reserve fund. The report also reviews the achievements of the past year. The club's reps, won the N.Z. Championship banner for the fourth time since its inception,and at the Australasian Championship Meeting D. Wilson won the one and three "mile walking championships of Australasia, and Hori Eruera won the pole jump. The statement of accounts shows the annual receipts to have been £1110 7/8, including balance from previous year, £320 16/; members' subscriptions, £78 14/; gross proceeds Spring Meeting, £285 IS/; autumn meeting, £279 6/G. The annual expenditure was £752 10/2, including expenses spring meeting, £236 14/4; autumn meeting, £230 9/4; expenses team to Wamganui, £84 4/8. There was therefore a credit balance of £357 17/6, made ilp as follows: — £%7 3/8 in National Bank, £110 13/10 in Savings Bank, and £200 deposited with trustees. The assets, in addition to the cash balance, included a working plant valued at £87, apd totalled £497 16/11. against which there were no liabilities whatever.
