Komata Reefs.

£1370 FROM 440 TONS,

The result of the clean-up at the Komata Reefs for the four weeks ending 20th August was £1370, from 440 tons crushed and treated. Ten head of stampers only were running during the month. A ycry satisfactory development occurred at the mine during the month in the drives at Nos. 2 and 3 levels on the Hartridge leader, specially at No. 2 level, where the leader is 14 inches wide, and a.nice run of ore has been encountered?

Evidently ore of much better grade was treated this time, as although only forty tons extra of ore were crushed the output of bullion is over double the previous one, when £659 was obtained from the 400 tons treated.
