O.P.Q. WAIPORI GOLD MINE.
Our London correspondent writes: —
Before Mr .Justice Keke.vich the other day, Mr Warrington, Q.C., moved in the matter of the O.P.Q. Waippri Gold Mines (Limited), for an order to rectify the register by striking out the name' of the New Zealand Minerals Company a.s the holders of 50,000 shares, on the ground that they were improperly entered on the register before, the agreement was filed. There AA-as an agreement of sale by the NewZealand Minerals Company to the O.P.Q. Company, in which the cash consideration of £50.000 was subject to a stipulation that out of the money subscribed by the public £30,000 should be set a side for working capital, ancl that if enough cash was not remaining to pay £50,000 in cash, the balance due should be paid in shares. Owing to the failure of the public to subscribe sufficient money for the undertaking it was decided that the subscriptions by the public should be returned. Counsel lor the Company did not oppose, and His Lordship made the order desired.
