Imperial.—: The main adit level is now in 27S feet. There are now signs of a change setting in. The country rock is becoming much firmer and tighter, also of a more settled nature.

"Welcome Find.—The ground at No. 3 level has been extended another 20 feet. The country is now tighter but was never Letter for gold. The cross leader, which showed gold, has now junctioned witli the Just-in-Time Na. 1 lode. Colours of gold were seen, but as the country is disturbed the ore has pinched. The winze on the southern lode is down 86 feet. Progress is slow owing to the presence of so many ribs of quartz crossing the winze.
