The re-opening of IJeresford-street CoiiKiegalional Clmrch after its renovatiun was celebrated lust evening by an organ recital and .sacred concert, which was very largely attended, the otl'ortory amounting to £10 ss. Cousins, "The Li»ht of the World" (S. Adams); and Mr Walton, "Calvary 11 (Uoducy), mid "Dc I'rofumlis." A romance by Wekelin was (ihiyed as a solo on the (lute in capital .style by Mr McKean. An- a clarionette solo Mr .!. 11. lloupcr played '* In Die Feme" by C. Baennann in a masterly manner.

Mr Hooton also played a march by Guilmanfc, and Mr McDouga.ll, church organist, contributed in good stylo an inauguration march, and also the " Coin munion in G " by Seotson Clark.
