Horses : At the Durham Yards there was a good muster brought forward and a better demand than for some weeks. Wo quote: Heavy draughts from £17 10s to £23 15a; medium draught*. £9 3s to £15 S*; light harness horses, £3 5s to £13 2s 6d ; hacks, £4 to £10 12* (id. Wool, hides, skins and tallow: A good catalogue was trono through. Sheep: Tho Newmarket yards were well filled, and fully kept late values. We quote: Wethers at, from 9s 9<l to IGs ; ewes, 8s 3d to 13s Od ; storo ewes and wethers from 7s (id to 10s 0d ; Jambs, 7ft Od to 11s. Pigß: Scarce, sold at from 14s to £1 3s 6d ; weaners, 5a to 8s 9d.

Messrs Alfred Auckland and Sons' Report. —At tkc Haymarket wlioat straw has been in brisk sale at from £1 Us to £1 10s tho load ; meadow hay also advanced in price and brought from 4s 3d to os 9d cwt; pressed hay, £5 ; pressed straw, £3 ; straw chaif, £3 5a : oaten chaff, £4 15s ; carrots, £2 ; potatoes, £0 5s ; boned list, £6 to £7 ; blood and bones, £4 10s ; guano, £3 10s ton; fted oats, 2s lOd to 3a ; seed oats, 3s Id to 3a 5d ; maize, 3s 4d bushel ; maize on wharf, 3b to 3» 2d busM. Heavy draught horses ranged from £18 to £29"; medium draught, £13 to £10 ; light harness, £6 to £9 each; horse covers, 13s to 17s Cd; saddles, 18s to £1 7a Gd ; buggy harness, £1 10s to £1 15s. On Tuesday ox hides sold from SH to s|d ; cow hides, 3£d to 3fd ; kip, 3J(l; calfskins, 3Jd to 3Jd; fat, ljd lb ; tallow, Hs to 16s 3d cwb ; bones, £3 5s ton; butcher's sheep pelts, 2s 6d to 3a 8d ; country pelts, 2s 2s to 3s 6d ; lambs, Is Gd to 2s Gd each. At Waiuku dairy cows and lieifers sold from £3 10m to £5 15s ; dry cows, £2 tb £2 15a ; grown steers, £4 to £5 5s ; two to three-year steers, £2 11s to £4 10.t; calves, 12* 6d to 10s each. At Komuera, on Thursday, dairy cows at profit brought from £4 10s to £6 10s each. Store cattle, in short supply, were without alteration in price. Calves, in less than usual supply (40 yarded), wero better worth. Fat cattle in full number (255 sold.) Steers in demand at fully last week'B values—l7a to £1 the 1001b"; cows, lower, 12s to 14s the 1001b, being values obtained. Steerß ranged from £5 10s to £0 17a Gd each; cows, £3 7s 6(1 to £5 2s 6d each. Fat sheep, plentiful (1700 yarded), were at first lower in price than lust week about 2s each. Some pens were passed, and prices rallied to near last week's values; 1350 sold. Wethers ranged from 8s 9d to 14s Odeach j ewes, 7s Gd tolSsOrf. Lambs, fairly represented (200 sold), brought from 4s 6d to 10s 3d each. Pigs, fairly represented (82 sbld), mostly from medium to heavy weights, fully kept late values. New Zealand Loan and MercantileAgeney Company (Limited).—Hides: We report market firm for all ox hides. We sold prime stout ox, 5Jd to 6^cl; heavy stout ox, 4£d to sijd ; medium, 4<l to 4£d ;'light, 3jd to 3P ; cow, 3£d to 3fd ; scoured, |d to |rt less. Sheepskins: Large salted, 3s 3d to 4s ; medium and small, 2s 3d to 3s. Tallow : Medium rendered sold at 14s 3d. The demand is good, especially for shipping parcels. Horsehair and cowhair as last quoted. Oats : The market is fairly well stocked, and buyers are not very keen Ruling prices this week are 2s 7Ad to 2s B<l on wharf for C and B grades. Maize : The market is again a little easier, and is l<\ lower than last week. Sales have been made at 3s OJd on wharf. Should shipments rail off a little, the old maize should con*efluently rise in price. Chaff: The demand is somewhat stronger, and sales have been made at £4 2a 6d at railway.
