-The Assessment Court for the Waipara district, adjourned from April 2Sth, sat at Rangiora yesterday to consider the objection of Mr G. H. Jtlooreto the Government valuation of Glenmark Estate. The valuer) figures are :—71,873 acres, capital valtte £294,712 ; unimproved value, £278,352 (^t rate of 4s 3d. per acre capital value, andf3 17s BAd unimproved value). The owner wished the value raised to £4 os per acre capital. A large amount of evidence was taken, and the case is exciting great interest. Argument is being heard at Christchurch to-day.
