A WILL CASE.

CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday,
At. the civil sittings of the SuprotWt Court at Christchurch, evidence* was heard in the case of Peake v. Marcill, an action brought by Miss Peake, at one time housekeeper to the late W. H. Spackman, to recover from the executor under his will £54G due under a life insurance policy, which he had assigned to her. The defence was that the assignment had been cancelled.^ The case was adjourned to June 22nd, for argument on legal points. ■ -
