During the past month 2f32 ions of ore were won from this nunc and treated for a return of 2020zs lldwtsof bullion valued at £509 lis -Id. The men at the Saxon section of this moperty have been temporarily knocked oil'owing to some of the winding gear requiring repairing, fire crushed by May Ouecn Company was from No. 2 lode, at No. 0 level of Saxon. YOUNG NEW ZEALAND. About 20 tons ore from the winze on No. -I reef have been sent to Auckland for treatment at Messrs F'raser and Sin's plant. WAIHI-SILVERTON. Out of the 53,000 shares irj the new company offered on the London market 50,000 were applied for by tho 23rd of March and still more applications were expected. As regards the shares offered on the local market all have been taken up with the exception of a small number. The allotment will take plst.ee shortly. MOANATAIARI RETURN. The result of the past month's crushing operations at the Moanataiari mine was disappointing, 877 tons of ore having only yielded bullion worth £715 Is Sil. MARIPOSA RETURN. During the past month '200 tons of ore were treated by this Kuaotunu Company for a return of bullion valued at £243.
