WELLINGTON, this day.
Among .the passengers who leave for Sydney by the Monowai to-day are 'Mr Adam 3, of the " Evening Post," who joins the J. C. Williamson Company, and Mr S. G. Martin, Secretary in New Zealand of the National Mutual' Life Association, who ioins the Queensalnd stailV DUNEDIN, this day.
A fire was discovered on Saturday afternoon in the ironmongery shop and warehouse of Messrs John Edniond and Co., Princes-street. The principal damage was done by smoke, water, ana *team. Probably the damage will re^sh £2,000.
