The balance-sheet of the Manawatu Railway Company shows gross earning £92,793, some £2,000 less than last year, which is put down to the competition Qi the Government lines. Besides the above, £15,909 was derived from land. We amount available for a dividend of five, per cent, is £8,339. . , .
