The Premier has arrived afc Westport, en route for Wellington. Mr Cadman will return here in a fortnight.
THE BUSH FIRES. By the recent fires afc Pahiatua, 4* houses, one church, and one creamerywweer c deStr°yed- BEN TILLETT. Mr Ben Tillett arrived on Saturday, and proceeded to Levin, accompanied by the Hon. J. Rigg. On Saturday next Mr Tillett addresses a meeting on the reclaimed land on the old age pensions. EARTHQUAKE SHOCK. A sharp earthquake shock was felb at Palmerston North on Saturday night, and an eart/htjuake occurred at Mauriceville on the same afternoon.
