AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE.

The members of the Exchange decided to-day to closeon the evening of Wednesday 22nd of December and re-open for business on the morning of Wednesday, the Sth of January, 1898. GOLDEN LEAD. An assay has been made at the Bank of New Zealand of quartz from the various levels in this mine. The results showed the value of the ore to be at the rate of £33 3s per ton.
