SHAREMARKET.
The demand for OJrace Darling shares continues, parcels again changing hands to-day at 2s. Alburnia shares iirmed this morning, buyers advancing from 2s Od to 33. Sheridans also improved, ls 4d being offered without shares changing hands. May Queen, Monowai and Moanataiari shares were also inquired for at late rates, but no transactions were reported. In better class stocks there were buyers of Talismans at lis 3d, Waihi Silverto'n at Bs, and Woodstocks at 17s Gd. Investing stocks had good demand. South British Insurance sold at 50s, and there Avere further buyers at 49s 6d. New Zealand Insurance were asked for at 695. An inquiry was made for Wellington woollen at 81s. Hikurangi coal were also asked for at 8s Id.
