WAIHI MONUMENT.

The meeting of shareholders in this Company called for to-day was postponed until next Monday at noon, in consequence of the following telegram having been received from Mr E. M. Corbett: —" Postpone Monument meeting until Monday. May have important information."

The Jay Gould Goldmining Company's half-yearly meeting called for yesterday afternoon lapsed for want of a quorum. The balance-sheet showed receipts to be £135 13s lid, and the expenditure to be £135 6s 2d, leaving a balance of 7s 9d.
