MINK MANAGERS' REPORTS.
New Year.—The manager reports he is still driving through the large quart/, body. lie thinks when it is passed through, or even before, he ought to get gold. Sovereign.—The contractors have passed through a number of small leaders varying from 5 to ti inches wide some of which show as assay value of from 22s to 30s per torn
Waihi Extended. —The drive is passing through a blue description of sandstone harder than it was before. Now that the drive is getting well into the lull there may be some likelihood of meeting with the j lode from which the loose quartz came that was got some distance back in the drive. New Golden Point (Tau'pn). — The winze on the Golden Point reef below the 200 foot level has attained a depth of 120 feet. The reef formation averages 18 inches in thickness when sinking this winze we passed through some small leaders showing gold. I propose shortly to stop sinking and open out a monkey drive to see if they develop anything of importance. Puriri. — The crosscut is in 70 feet, and the country passed through is of a splendid channel of sandstone, although of a rather tight nature for making speedy progress.
