London, September 30 ••:' The Prince of Wales' horse Persimmon, by St. Simon—Perd.vta 11., lias been sent to the stud. [Persimmon was a,good performer on fflb turf, winning the Epsom, Derby and St, Leger of 1896", besides the Jockey Club Stakes and other races.]
The Imported Irish hunting sire Paddy's Land (by Asoetic—May morn) was offered for sale to-day but failed to fetch the reserve of 200 guineas. The best bid was 120 guineas, but subsequently 150 guineas was offered and refused.
