OUR CRICKETERS.

Last Saturday saw the close of the football season, and it was the intention of the cricketers to once more take the field, but the fates have decided otherwise. Mr Yates, caretaker of the Cricket Ground, states that owing to the recent rains the ground will be quite unfit for use tomorrow. The Cricket Association meet to-morrow evening to arrange the programme of the Cup matches and fix date of commencement.

The Ponsonby Cricket Club will hold a practice to-morrow afternoon at their ground, Jervois Road, Ponsonby.
