MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

THIS DAY.

(Before Mr H. W. Brabant. S.M.) James Matthews v. George Lokaji.— This morning His Worship gave judgment in the above case.—Plaintiff claimed £30 ceneral damages and £1 Is special damages for an assault alleged to have been committed on him by defendant. The assault Mas denied altogether by the defendant.—His Worship, after reviewing the evidence, said that the statements W the plaintiff and his witnesses appeared to him to bristle with improbabilities, whue on the other hand the evidence for the defence seemed consistent and probable. The plaintiff was probably too much under the influence of liquor to remember exactly what took place. He would give judgment for defendant, with costs £3 12s.
