OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL.
AT the last meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council, on the motion of Cr. Corbett and in reply to a letter from Mr Moss, solicitor, it was resolved by the County Council to recommend to the Warden that holders of all mining licenses be allowed to forfeit on paying all back rent and rent for the current month." It; was also resolved (1) "That an assistant should be obtained for the engineer in his ofiice at a salary of about £75 ; (2) " That Trainor's contract on the Puke Road be terminated and his deposit forfeited." It was also agreed to call for fresh tenders.
