Mr Seddon, Mr Reeveß, and Sir John Hall have discussed with the shipowners bhe question of reducing the freights from New Zealand, m;»inly on wool Bhipments. Mr Seddon contended that they should reduce them to tho Australian ecule. Tho owners replied that the difference between the two tariffs was merely nominal, but they would meet the shippers wherever possible. They promised to favourably consider the arguments und give a reply shortly.
