CANADIAN BANQUET.
London. June 30.
A banqueb was held in London lasb night by colonists resident in England and others identified with Canadian intereats in commemoration of Dominion Day. Great enthusiasm prevailed. M. Laurier, in the course of a speech, said he trusted Canada would always strike for freedom and pro-
gress. Lord Donald Smith, High Commissioner, presided at the banqueb. The guests included Ear! Derby, the Marquis of Lome, the Right Hon. G. H. Reid and Sir Heniy Norman.
