THE SHAREMARKET.
A better feeling was noticeable on the Exchange to-day aB far as mining stock was concerned, due no doubt to some extent to the facb bhab settlements for the end of the month have now practically been made. A demand, set in for these shares, and sales were made from 9d to lld. Waibi Extended shares also had free sales, having advanced in a few days from 3£d to 7d, with firm buyers still ab 6d. A move like thus wben the mine is nob being worked points to a sale toanadjoiningCompany, bub so far no information has been made public Scandinavian shares also, advanced, lines selling ab 7d and being still wanted. This is due to the fact thab a cable was received from London stating that a final payment of £1,000 would be made to day. A dividend of 4£d per share was also declared in tbe Britannia Company out of the purchase money received from London. Alburnia East shares also firmed a little, sales being made up to Bd.
