THE WARSHIPS.
The Rapid is to go to the Solomon Islands as nexb patrol ship. She will call ab Newcasble, Brisbane and other ports, and on her return to Sydney ao the end of the year, will leave the station for the Old Country. The Ringdove left Sydney last week for England in charge of Lieutenanb Thierens. As she passed through the fleet in porb tho blue jackets swarmed the rigging and cheered the homeward bound contingenb, while the bands played lively airs. She takes the Torres Straits route. H.M.S. Torch ia to replace the Kingdove on the station. Commander J. G. Bremer, late of the Ringdove, has retired^ from the service and taken up his residence in Sydney.
