Wellington,, this day. The Wegleyan Conferonca opened laafc evening. Delegates were pi/jse»b from all parts of the colony. The Rev. W. Baumber the retiring preeidenb, delivered an address dealing chiefly with tho union of the Methodist) Churches, which was brought aboub last year. The tf.ev. P. W. Fairclougb, of Kaiapoi, was elected president for the ensuing year, and the P^ev, D. J. Murray, secretary of the Conference.
