The Chief Justice said tha proceedings wera properly before the Court, whereupon Mr (Jarston, who appeared in person, loudly insisted thab the judga was quite wrong and lectured him as, bo tho proper method of procedure. A wordy warfare followed, which culminated in the plaintiff asking Fiis Honor whether he was acting as solicitor for the defendant. The judge threatened bo commit him for contempt), and repeated tho threat later on. He finally dismissed tho case with fifteen guiuoas cost;. His Uoncr then proceeded to oommonb on the conduct of plaintiff and the waste of time and money involved, but Mr Carstou said the judge, after closing the case, had no right to make such remarks, as plaintiff could not reply, and fairly talked His Honor down.
