MOUNT LYELL.
Aba meeting of shareholders in the Mount Morgan, Mount I. yell, and Killarney claims, held yesterday in the Victoria Arcade, it was decided to form a noliability company, called the Mount Lyell, bo work the combined properties The capital was fixed as £5.700 in 57,000 shares at 2s each. Messrs W. Lyell, G. Bishop, A. McLeod, T. Uesher, end Captaia Cunningham, were appointed directors, and Mr Al. Leers legal manager. FLOWER OP WAIHI. Shareholders in this company met yesterday afternoon in Mr S. C. Macky'a office and decided to accept one half interest in tho Trojan special claim ab Puru and expend the balance of the cash held by the company in developing the property. BUNKERS iHILL. The manager telegraphed this afternoon : —" Breaking dowu in winze. Gold showing in the stone. Will break down again to-morrow." JUNO (KUAOTUNUJ. The manager telegraphed to-day :—• " Obtained ten pound* of rich specimens from the stope. Gold showing in the face." Our own correspondent also telegraphed later on :—" Just returned from the Juno mine ; 15 to 201b of very rich stone has boen obtained. Gold is still Bhowing, and improving downwards." The Juno ia the name of bhe no-liability company that was formed to tako over the old Otoma mine, ab Kuaotunu, from which good hauls of specimen atono wore got in the early days of the field. The Juno ground is quite closo to the township and adjoins the Gladys and Wandsworth, which properties lie between the Juno and the Irene, tho latter being worked by an English Company. MOUNT CATHERINE G.M. COMPANY The first general meeting of shareholders in tho Mount Catherine G.M: Company, of Karangahake, was held this afternoon. Air J. M. Morran presiding. A utafeemenb of accounts submitted showed thab the receipts since the formation of the Company had been £588 10a lOd, and the expenditure £350 12s 4d, leaving a balance in tbe bank of £37 18s 6d. The following diroctore were re-olected. Alesßrs C. J. Sanderson (Thames), J. Kneebone, J. M. Alorran (Chairman), W. Edwards, and J, Courb. An oxtraord_t.ry general meeting was then held, and a resolution was passed to tho effect that tho capital of the Company bo increased to £5,000 by the croation of 20,000 new shares of Is each, of which 10,000 shall be declared paid up und 10,000 nil paid up. Resolutions were hlro passed authorising the Company to acquire the Mount Alagnet special claim, adjoining the Mounb Catherine ; and authorising the directors to dispose of the mine and property on such terms a3 they might think fit, and to place tho property nnder offer for any term nob exceeding twelve months. It was oxplained thab bhe Magnet was a property of 100 acres adjoining, in which ib was thought there would be a better chance of getting the reef. The Mounb Magnet owners wanted 10,000 scrip paid up to Is, and it was considered that this step woiald be in tbe interests of the Company.
