NEW GOLD PRODUCERS,
Great satisfaction is expressed here that several of the miuea are apparently getting on to gold. The last return of the Royal Oak ab rate of close on looz per ton is especially encouraging, and it is stated there is more of this class of ore to come forward. Tho Success, too, I understand, wiil be able to crush steadily with what is on hand for some time to come, and this on excellent ore which should produce satisfactory results. The Hauraki North, also, it i 3 thought, will yeb be beard of aa a gold producer. The Hauraki Associated Gold Reefa are making good headway with the battery site on Keanody Bay, the excavation for which ia now completed. A large amount of the machinery is lying beside Smythe'a tramway in close proximity to the ground, while the survey for the serial tram ia completed. A few months should see everything ready for starting crushing operations. Great bustle and activity ia noticeable now in connection with the erection of pumping and winding machinery for the Albion special claim on the foreshore, which haa passed into the bands of an English Company. The claim is splendidly situated as regards the gold bearing channels of country, and greab hopes are entertained regarding the future delopment of the property. , ALBION FORESHORE. Four tons general dirt from the Albion Foreshore claim were crashed '-- gold. _>
