The u»ual half-yearly general meeting of shareholders in the Gem Gold mining Company was held on November 30th. Mr S. T. Twentyman presided. The mine manager's report, giving particulars of the work done, showed the amount of driving on the property to have been 433fb and crunching 782 ft. Tha balance-sheet showed the expenditure to have been £200 in flotation and £217 2. 6d in mine and general expenses. The receipts were £400 from the sale of syndicate shares. Mr A. Wilson was elected to till a vacancy in the directorate. MY SWEETHEART. The first half-yearly balance-sheet of bhis company showed receipts £1,000, and bho expenditure left a credit balance of £581 5a 7d. During tho hulf-year £258 had been expended in wages. PHO.NIX. This property haa been registered under the title of Whangamata Goldmining Company. This al.eiatioii waa nece.sary owing to the Regiatrar having declined to accept the n.mo of Phoenix United, there being a Phoenix already at Kuaotunu. PRINCE CHARLIE. An offer received by cable from London to float the Prince Charlie mine ab Whangamata on the following terms has been accepted " That an option be granted bo 31st March nexb for the formaSion of a new company with a capital of £175,000; a working capital of £25,000 to be provided ; present shareholders to receive 50,000 fully paid up sharea of £1. YORK AND ZONE. At meetings of shareholders which took place on Dec. 21 in both these companies reaolutiona were adopted authorising the directors to di.poae of the company's property.
