OUR CRICKETERS.
After a long interruption the cup mstcbeß were continued on Saturday aftsrnoon. The attendance was very sparse, no doubt on account of the Floral FGta, and m«ny of the cricketers chosen to play in the various contests were abtenb. In tbo GordouParnell senior match Gordon matlo 90 and Darnell G6 for 5 wickets and in the Auck-land-United the latter held the fort all the afternoon, making 253 rung for 9 wickets. Lußk playtd a fine innings for 89, Watts made aO nob oub in good style and Labatb hit freely for 53. The Auckland team felt the lons of R. Noil I, their best bowler, very much, and were, owing to his abience, somewhat weak im bowline St. Paul was tho most successful of the trandlers, taking »U wickets for 70 rum. Mills 16, being the only doable figure scorer}. At call of time Parnell had lost seven wickets for 105 runs (Reatieaux 24, Grigg 24, H. Tobman 12, Young 10, aad Thorpe, not out, 14). Pribchard bowled best for Newton, and Roetioaux and Smith for Parnell.
LieENsnn Victpallkrs v. Pitt-Street. —Pitt-street made 38 (Bottrill 12, and Kretchtnar 10), and when time was called Victuallers had put together 118 rune for six wickets, (Ford 70 not out). For Licensed Victuallers, Todd took 4 wickets for 13 runs, and Brierly 3 for 17.
