POSTAL CONVENTION.

Sydney, November 15.

Tho Postal Convention has opened. Tha principal subjects to be discussed are Federal Mail Contracts and Representation ab the Post Congress in Washington. Mr Seddon, Premier of New Zealand, in a letter, apologised for tho absence of a delegate owing to tho early approach of the general election. He had formed no definite opinion with regard to representation ab Washington, but thought that one, or perhaps two delegates sufficient. The Convention adjourned until Monday.
