Calvert's exploring expedition reached tKe Fitzroy P„iver after many difficulties. The geologist and another member loft bhe main party. 300 miles, back, intending to cubacross the country and re-join tho party nba given point, but tbo main body (i owing to lack of water, were unable to wait abbhe poinb named. There are no signs ot the missing men, and a search parby is being organised.
