JLo^DOJf, July 6. The match Hampshire v. the Australian cricketers, began at Southampton to-day. The Home team are: Barton, Webb, Soar, Baldwin, Wootbn, Quinton, Steel, Sykes, Ward, Robson and Wynyard.

Darling, Jones, Kelly and Gregory, are not playing for the colonials, Musgrove, their manager, taking the place as eleventh man. The weather is fine, and the attendance fair. The wicket is playing fast. -.•;;■.•■ , •

Hampshire batted first, and lost nine wickets for 134. The chief scorers were : Ward 54, and Wynyard 37.
