The girl was aboub seventeen years of age, aud had boon employed as general 83r»anb here, but was latterly living at Mr J. Faulkner's residence. Four weeks azo to-day sh« attended a meeting of the SaU vation Army, and was last seen alive leaving the barracks. It was presumed that she had gone to Auckland by the steamer which left thai evening, but the mother writing for information as to her wh»ra« about*, gave riss to she suspicion that she had met with a mishap. • ■;■ ,
