GOLDEN SPARK.
(FEOM ODR OWlf CORBBSPONDHST.)
Coromandrl, this day.
Driving it sbill proceeding on the No. 2 leader ad the low level, which is in a distance of over 180 feob. This leader really forms tha hnnginßwall branch. of a reef which waa intersected in the level crosscut and proved to be over ten feet in thickness, although split! up somewhat by horseß of mullock. The hangingwall portion waa then driven upon, and is now opened up about 20 feeb. The stone looks very well' and is encased in capital country, bat, nevertheless, no gold has been eeeru No. 2 level: On Monday lasts a nice reef waa cat in the crosscut, the footwall of which has not yet bean reached, So far ib measure* over two feet in thickness, and is composed of highly oxidised stone, which gives prospects by pounding, while several stringers intersected in dose proximity to and evidently droppers off the above showed some nice stone containing visible gold. This fact in conjunction with the excellent Character of the country promisee well for future developments here, A considerable amount ot work has been done on this property at various timeu, and a large amount of gold was taken out by the old Bright Smile Company and different parties of trtbuters. At the present time there are a number of points which might be opened up with probable advantages, and I might recommend that some attention be paid to the several large quarts bodies which are in evidence in the mine at each of the respective levels. These are Barely worth testing, and if, indeed, anything of an encouraging nature was the outcome, ib would materially affect the prospects of the property.
